This is a temporary visa leading directly to a permanent partner visa(subclass 100) and the applicants must be outside Australia when applying for this visa stream. This is a temporary visa and the first step towards a permanent Partner Visa.

Partner (Migrant) Visa (Subclass 100)
This is a permanent visa and the applicant must hold a temporary partner visa (Subclass 309) at the time of application.
